Tuning


All tuning work is done on our Dyno Dynamics AWD loading dyno. Our state of the art Dyno Dynamics 4WD dyno platform machine is ready to take on the challenge of harnessing the best of the best power house you can build! Equipped with super sensitive loading retarders using state of the art Eddie Current technology, this platform dyno is ready to perform anything from a simple sweep test to a steady state holding task required to succesfully tune a stock or aftermarket engine management unit using the cell by cell tuning method.

Capable of recording up to 1800HP in FWD or RWD mode and 2400HP in AWD mode, the dyno is our latest and greatest answer to dangerous street tuning.

No more worrying about getting your ride swiped or t-boned by merging semis or other vehicles, hitting objects on the street while going WOT or even attracting the wrong type of attention from the law enforcements. We can devote our full attention to the tuning software, the dyno monitor, the gauges and your car, concentrating on the numbers to get the most out of your particular setup.

We can go 200mph while being securely strapped down if need be! Our industrial dyno fan is capable of generating over 13000CFM of air flow to keep your vehicle cool.

We use a $2000 Autronic wideband processor and a $750 NTK laboratory grade wideband sensor to plot our AFR values so this is a great time to get a very accurate reading of your wideband AFR curve. AFR wideband reading will be taken by inserting the probe in your tailpipe. Note that the NTK/Auronics wideband readout is not going to be accurate if the reading is taken off after a cat. If you have an extra O2 sensor bung forward of the cat where the wideband O2 sensor can be installed then we can try to accomodate installing the O2 sensor there as long as it is easy to access with the car on the dyno and doesn't take too long to do.
 

All tuningwork is done by appointment only, call or email to setup a time. At that time please give us a list of modifications to the car. If you have 1000cc injectors, a stock car, and S-AFC, that setup flat out cannot be tuned. Let us know what is on the car before coming in so that we can point you in the right direction before wasting time tuning a setup that does not work.

We cannot tune your car if it is in a poor mechanical condition. The problems need to be fixed first. If you are unsure of the condition of any part of the car please let us know when setting up the appointment so that we can plan for any extra time that may be required. Here is a checklist of things to look over:

 

    Have you pressure tested the intake system to check for boost/vacuum leaks?
    Are the plug wires new?
    Are the plugs new, proper heat range, and gapped properly?
    Is the fuel system adequate (pump size, injector size, fuel line/filter)?
    How long ago was the fuel filter replaced?
    Is your boost controller holding steady boost?
    Is the motor in good mechanical condition, what is the compression?
    Is the timing belt installed properly?
    Are there any exhaust leaks?
    Is the cooling system in good condition?

If you are unsure of any of these questions and cannot, or do not want to, check them yourself please let us know when setting up the appointment.

 

PINA AWD Dyno Rates

3 pulls without WBO2 $85
3 pulls with WBO2 $100.
We will strap in and runs your car through 3 pulls. You will be presented with a graphic horsepower and torque curve printout.
Pina tunes your car $150 per hour (min 1 hour) Pina will strap/unstrap, runs your car and tunes it for optimal performance. We will provide you with first-run and last-run output graphs. Includes Wideband O2 logging on printouts.
Tune your own car with WBO2 $125 per hour (min 1 hour) Pina will strap/unstrap in and runs your car. You can make tuning adjustments based on previous runs between runs . Printouts will be provide.
Tune your own car without WBO2 $100 per hour (min 1 hour) Pina will strap/unstrap in and runs your car. You can make tuning adjustments based on previous runs between runs .
AEM EMS, install and base tune, p&l (Call for pricing) Pina will strap/unstrap in and tunes your AEM fuel and timing maps to maximize your car's power output.
Dyno Day Dyno fee for the event will be at $65 per car for 3 pulls with strapping/ unstrapping, boost and wideband AFR readout from the tailpipe.
